E-Emission Test App Socialized

Jakarta Environment Dept. is socializing the implementation of e-emission test application. It is participated by the representatives of 50 vehicle brand-holder sole distributors (ATPM).

From now, the dept. will impose e-emission test application connected with certified workshops all over the city

According to Isnawa Adji, Head of Jakarta Environment Dept., socialization is to support blue-sky program in minimizing air polution in the capital.

1,922 Vehicles Undergo Emission Test in West Jakarta

"Emission test program was initially using a sticker as a sign of passing the test. From now, the dept. will impose e-emission test application connected with certified workshops all over the city," he stated, Wednesday (7/26).

He explains it is part of the implementation of Jakarta Bylaw No. 2/2005 on Air Pollution Control. Up to now, there have been 218 certified workshops as an emission test workshop.

Adji added vehicles that have undergone emission test with the sticker are still valid for up to six months. Furthermore, the dept. service is no longer using sticker but through emission test application that can be accessed through http://ujiemisi.jakarta.go.id.

"Perhaps it will be used one of the requirements to renew STNK in future," he said.
